  12.     I suspect there is a simple solution but I cannot find a way to change
  13.     the baselineskip in my footnotes. I use 8pt text in footnotes and there
  14.     is far too much space between lines for such a font size.

  16. Put \par at the end of the footnote text. Since Plain doesn't read the
  17. footnote text as an argument, I don't see any way that it (or Eplain)
  18. can put in the \par for you, unfortunately.

  20. I will include a note in the manual to this effect for next time.
